Who is Mark Davis' dad and former Raiders owner, Al Davis?

There are very few families that have continued the tradition of passing down sports team ownership to the next generation. The Davis family is one of these few household names. They now have both the Las Vegas Raiders and Las Vegas Aces thanks to Mark Davis' business acumen. But, how did Al Davis start it all with the Oakland Raiders?
For starters, Al was a member of the army but eventually found his way to Syracuse to get a Master's degree. He then landed multiple jobs to be a scout in the AFL and college football before finding a home as a coach with the San Diego Chargers. His insane acumen saw him rise in the coaching ranks and eventually the Raiders got wind of him.
He became the head honcho of the franchise before having to let it go because of the AFL's plea to have him as their commissioner. Al found his way back to the Raiders as a part owner and general manager. His role played a big part in helping the John Madden-led team to win three Super Bowls back in the 1970s.
Al Davis is now forever immortalized in the Pro Football Hall of Fame after he was inducted in 1992. He is also survived by his son, Mark Davis, who has done fairly well in keeping the Raiders afloat.
