Where do the Bills go from here?
Where do the Bills go from here?

After their fourth playoff loss to the Chiefs in the past five years, where do the Buffalo Bills go from here? It feels like Buffalo is banging their heads against a brick wall. Every year, they run it back with a similar team and coaching staff, hoping something will go different, and every year, they lose to the same team in the playoffs. It has reached the point where the Bills' loss at Kansas City in the playoffs has become an annual tradition, and if I were the Bills owner, I would be sick of it.
In the history of the NFL, no coach and quarterback duo has reached their first Super Bowl after more than five years together. Josh Allen and Sean McDermott just wrapped up their seventh year together. The Bills would be silly to get rid of Allen, with leaves one option. The Bills need to fire Sean McDermott.
McDermott has been a great culture builder in Buffalo and would be hired instantly by another organization, but his time in Buffalo should come to an end. He has consistently failed at the highest level and has proved that at this point, he will never be capable of defeating the Chiefs in the playoffs.
There’s a common saying that goes “Insanity is trying and failing at the same thing over and over again,” and that is what the Bills are starting to become. It is nothing short of insanity to think that, next time, they will win, and next time, they will get over the top. The truth is that until something changes, they will not get over the top. Patrick Mahomes has dominated the Bills for the past five years and will continue to own them until the Bills make a bold change.
The Bills should call Bill Belichek and offer him the chance to coach a generational talent in Josh Allen. If he declines, offer the job to offensive coordinator Joe Brady, who has shown to be a young offensive genius.
In the meantime, the Bills should also consider calling Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, and offer to triple has salary to make the move to Buffalo. As long as Kansas City has the best big-game coordinator in football, they might be unstoppable forever.
There are steps the Bills can take to try and finally conquer the Chiefs, but it will require them to take a bold risk, which they might not be willing to do.
