The NFL is already in full swing. After the first game days we learned who the best franchises are and can point out the most anticipated week 5 matches. During the fifth week of the regular season we will see some very important games that promise great entertainment for football lovers. All the odds for the upcoming NFL matches can be found on the page linked here, where you will also find tips and advice for those who want to bet on these and all the other games in the competition. American football is a numbers’ game, so it is better to be well prepared before betting, because there are several variables to consider.
We circled out the most interesting games and are going to preview them for you, in the following paragraphs.
San Francisco 49ers vs Los Angeles Rams
The Californian derby is a very interesting match-up in the NFC West. The two franchises are quite strong and are playing like the two serious playoffs candidates they are. The 9ers have a better record (3-0, while we write this) but the Rams lost against the Philadelphia Eagles, the undefeated world champions that are playing at an extremely high level and are probably the first of the class, in the league. Super Bowl LX will be played in Levi’s Stadium, the dome where San Francisco hosts its opponents, so the 9ers will be delighted to get to that game. In order to do so, however, they must win a bunch of games.
Minnesota Vikings vs Cleveland Browns
The Vikes will play their second consecutive game in Europe against one of the worst teams in the league, the Browns. Cleveland, though, has a tough defense that single-handedly won them their game against the Green Bay Packers. They will surely play with a lot of pride in London. Should the Vikes starting QB, JJ McCarthy, still be unavailable due to his injury, they will need to count on Carson Wentz’s services. The backup is playing well enough, but we know his history and have already seen him commit terrible mistakes. Minnesota is a solid team, with good weapons on both sides of the ball. The Vikings must avoid self-inflicted wounds, though.
Denver Broncos vs Philadelphia Eagles
Denver is a good group, extremely well-coached by the great Sean Payton, with a strong defence and some playmakers on offence. In this game, though, they are the clear underdogs. The Broncos will face the mighty Eagles, after all, a team that is winning each and every match they play.
New England Patriots vs Buffalo Bills
Once upon a time, the Pats used to play throw and catch with the Bills, demolishing them every time the two franchises met. Those were good times for the New England faithfuls. Today, though, Tom Brady works at FOX as a match analyst and is part of the Las Vegas Raiders’ board, while a certain Josh Allen, who happens to be the defending MVP and arguably the best player in the whole league, as he showed during week 1, is the QB for Buffalo. This is the reason why the Bills are flying high and dominating the AFC. We expect them to win easily against this rebuilding franchise.
Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars
The Chiefs have a lot on the line in this game. They have to demonstrate how serious of a contender they are, this year. Their season started out quite badly and they are already two games behind the Bills in the race for the AFC crown. Enter Jacksonville, a young team on the rise with a lot of talent and an electrifying player that goes by the name of Travis Hunter. Can they give Chiefs’ Nation a disappointment? Who knows, but we are about to see if these Jags are for real or not, in 2025. It is about time they show us what they are really made of.
