Giants in the 2025 NFL Draft: Will they select Cam Ward?

Heisman Trophy finalists typically go really high in projected draft lists. Cam Ward is a prospect that many NFL front offices and scouts have been observing in the past few months. He may have lost the elusive award to Travis Hunter but that does not mean that his chances of going high are gone. Some even think that he could go number one overall. Which franchise has the keys to his future?
The New York Giants currently hold the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. There are still two games left in the season. But, if all goes well, the team from the East Coast could very much lock that pick up. Many fans of the franchise have a lot of opinions as to who their team should select. A common denominator of which is that they want a quarterback - whether it's Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward.
Analysts agree with the idea that the Miami Hurricanes signal-caller should go to the Giants. Outlets like 247 Sports and CBS largely think that this would happen. In fact, they have projected the Giants to pull it off after they suffered a tough nine-game losing streak. Their recurring problem is the instability of the signal-caller spot. This squad might have Daniel Jones and Tommy DeVito but they always seem to fall short.
Ward is a great dual threat quarterback. He can deliver in both the passing game and even rush for a couple of snaps. His rise to fame with the Hurricanes have also made him a media darling which might be needed if someone is to play for the Giants. Only time will tell if this move does happen but it is looking very likely.
