The Dallas Cowboys are a marquee franchise - when one thinks of the NFL, they are surely one of the first squads to pop up in a person's mind. So, it comes to no one's surprise that their head coaches also get some acclaim along with fame or infamy. Mike McCarthy has been the subject of terrible statements after a long stint alongside Jerry Jones and Dak Prescott. But, his pay was a bit hefty and fans may not think that it was worth it at all.
Mike McCarthy has been with the Cowboys since the 2020 season. He moved to join Jerry Jones and Co. after 12 years of mentoring the Aaron Rodgers-led Green Bay Packers. Many expected McCarthy to reinvigorate the franchise and take them back to their winning ways just like in the 1990s. However, things fell apart in just four years.
Prescott got injured a lot alongside other players who were key in getting them back to contention. The Cowboys could not quite go back to their goal of making it back to the Super Bowl while McCarthy was there. So, they finally made a call to have a change of coaching personnel after the 2024 season. There is still no certainty about which team will try to acquire him.
Despite the hard time he had in the Cowboys system, McCarthy still earned quite a lot of cash. His net worth is estimated to be around $9 million which is fairly huge in comparison to other head honchos. Other squads are likely going to try and get him in the future which will definitely increase his net worth.
