It seems like a growing amount of NBA players have descended from people who were also once in the league. It comes to no one's surprise that there are second and even third generation athletes who are hooping out. However, some legends did not have the same fate for their sons. One of them is Jason Kidd and Trey Jason Kidd. What ever happened to the promising young star?
For starters, Trey Jason Kidd did bond a lot with his father as he grew up. This child was always around basketball. Dallas Mavericks and New Jersey Nets fans may even recognize him whenever he goes to watch his father. This got him interested in basketball and he also fell in love with the game.
Trey had a burning passion that he carried in high school ball up until he got to play for the Cal Golden Bears. He could not produce big and impactful numbers there but this did not keep him away from the game. Despite not being able to follow in the footsteps of Jason Kidd to the NBA, he still lived around basketball.
Now, he currently owns TJK. This is a brand that sells activewear gear and a lot of hoopers also use it too. More than that, he holds The TJK Classic Tournament in California as well in order to give an avenue for young athletes to showcase their talents. Overall, it looks like the flame for basketball inside him is still very much alive.
