Dennis Rodman does not strike the common person as someone who would be a father. But, he does have children and one of them even hopes to make it to the NBA just like his Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons legend of a father. He goes by the name of DJ Rodman but his family life might not be the best while growing up. Let's find out why and uncover this father-son duo's relationship.
Dennis Rodman was often absent in DJ Rodman's life. This led to the two not having that much of a relationship with one another. In fact, DJ could not have interests that were farther from his father. He even outlined that clubbing and all those extravagant activities were not in his mind at all even if his NBA tenure gets longer. The young player just does not see himself becoming like his dad.
“Just because I’m around him doesn’t mean I’m going to go out and party every single night, I’m going to be a nuisance, doesn’t mean I’m going to be all these things that everyone thinks I’m going to be," he declared.
DJ even added that his journey will not be similar to what the Bulls and Pistons legend experienced. Rather, he much rather prefers to earn his way to the association even if it means running through the G League first: We’re not going to be naive to the fact that our dads are who they are. We’re going to try our hardest to be different and carve our own path even though, of course, we’re always going to have that cloud over our head.”
