The pass-first point guard is slowly going extinct in the modern NBA. Tyrese Haliburton is one of the remaining stars who make a living out of ripping opposing defense to set their teammates up. So, it came to no one's surprise that brands wanted to sign this now one-of-a-kind floor general. PUMA won his heart and there might be a reason as to why.
A lot of people tend to sleep on PUMA because the debate of being the greatest sports apparel goes to the brand with checks or three stripes. Despite this, they have been making great strides in both innovation and marketing. This is where Tyrese Haliburton comes in. The Indiana Pacers star signed a multi-year deal with the shoe brand and is likely going to be their face for the future.
Other stars who are donning the iconic cat are legends Usain Bolt, Lamelo Ball, Neymar Jr., Thiago Silva, and Sara Vaughn among others. Haliburton may be from a small market team but his insane leadership and swagger that punched him to an All-Star berth could be the same factors which led to him being the face of the brand.
As of the moment, he does not have a signature shoe just yet. However, he is wearing the latest technology that PUMA has to offer. During games, Haliburton dons the Puma All-Pro Nitro but it might not take long until the brand finally gives him his own shoe. After all, he did lead the Pacers to an unlikely Eastern Conference Finals berth in 2024.
