All the rave has been around Victor Wembanyama and his insane talents despite being over seven feet. But, he is standing on the shoulders of giants and one of them is Yao Ming. Everyone thought that this Houston Rockets legend would be the greatest player to have ever stepped on the court but it was not quite the case. However, he does belong in the top when it comes to shoe sizes.
Yao Ming has some impressive biological measurements. His stature clocked in at around seven feet and five inches while his wingspan could reach as far as nine feet and eight inches. All of these mixed with his immense basketball skills made the winner of the 2002 NBA Draft Lottery drool over him.
More than his impressive height and length, the Rockets legend also wore a size 20 shoe. Some have speculated that this has shrunk over the years because of countless injuries and foot sprains. While there could be a chance that it was larger, he still has one of the biggest shoe sizes in league history. The only other people who wore larger shoes were Shaquille O'Neal and Bob Lanier who both donned size 22s.
Yao Ming's shoe size might have been impressive about two decades ago but this has become the norm for most big men. Karl Anthony-Towns and Kevin Durant practically have the same shoes as the Rockets legend. Nonetheless, his insane measurements were used to his full advantage which led to him becoming a Basketball Hall of Famer.
