Being a successful basketball player with a sportswear empire is surely a big talk of the town whenever Thanksgiving rolls around the corner. Michael Jordan has gotten accustomed to these types of conversations floating around. However, there is not much people know about his family life and if he has people to share his blessings with. So, let's get to know them.
The Chicago Bulls and UNC Tar Heels legend is not an only child. In fact, they were five children in total growing up which might have been fairly rowdy. He has two sisters and two brothers. This meant that there was the perfect balance of loving but also competition in the family. His siblings are named Ronnie, Larry, Deloris, and Roslyn.
Each of them grew up alongside the NBA legend and they were all close. What particularly bonded them all together? Well, it was a love for sports and coming out on top. Even their parents noted how important it was to introduce them to physical activities at a young age: “We had five kids, and the wife and I both worked, and we would worry at times about the kids being home. So we thought one of the things that we could do was get them involved in sports. Drop them off at the Little League field or the gym and keep them involved in the community.”
Every girl in the family played softball while the guys were all basketball players. No one else matched how athletic the Bulls legend was but everyone did their part in keeping the community of sports lovers alive in their hometown. So, it's safe to say that this family was very exemplary.
