Does Anthony Edwards have beef with Noah Lyles?

Noah Lyles is still the bane of most NBA players and fans. After calling out the 'world champion' status of those who won the Larry O'Brien trophy, a lot of people got heated and started hurling vitriol at the track star. It even reached a point where the supposed fastest man alive did not go to the Minnesota Timberwolves star's shoe release. So, is there beef simmering between the two or is everything just superficial?
Well, there was something that Noah Lyles said that may have ticked off Anthony Edwards. It was in regards to the invite sent to the track star in order to attend one of the shoe launches by the Timberwolves player. It might even be rooted in envy because the demon on the track is not getting the same treatment from Adidas.
"You want to do what?You want to invite me to [an event for] a man who has not even been to an NBA Finals? In a sport that you don’t even care about? And you’re giving him a shoe? No disrespect — the man is an amazing athlete. He is having a heck of a year. I love that they saw the insight to give him a shoe, because they saw that he was going to be big. All I’m asking is, ‘How could you not see that for me?" Lyles declared.
Many NBA stars have asked Lyles to simmer down and calm himself when talking about the Timberwolves star. Even Carmelo Anthony had something to say about the track star: "My thing is, why do you keep shooting at the NBA? If you want to shoot, shoot at the fact that y'all ain't got no league for your own. Shoot at why they ain't pour money into that sport... I'd rather you be like, 'Yo, we need more attention on U.S. track and field association,' whatever it is."
There is no sign that this beef is likely going to die down soon. However, a lot of people in the NBA family have come together to make athletes understand that this is really not Edwards' fault. Some have even suggested that Lyles was barking on the wrong tree.
