Many NBA players tend to be the victims of false accusations. A lot of the times it is because people around them want to get money out of their big pockets in a very unjust manner. Shaquille O'Neal had his fair share of this drama. At one point, someone went out to possibly ruin his image without knowing the NBA legend at all. Who was she and what happened during this incident?
Vanessa Lopez was allegedly Shaquille O'Neal's mistress. She claims that they have been seeing each other for years. During that time, Lopez also said that the NBA legend carried a gun around and even harassed her whenever he did not get his way. More than that, it was alleged that he also hacked into her phone and got some very private information too.
This was certainly not a good look for O'Neal. The NBA legend did admit that he went out with Lopez once but they never had anything after that one encounter. In the alleged mistress' deposition, it was clear that some of the information presented was not true. In fact, the case against him was eventually dismissed due to how libelous the false pieces of information were.
O'Neal ended up fighting back against Lopez and field a claim against. This was the most that fans got to know about their situation. It is largely because their case went private and may have already reached a resolution after all these years. Hopefully, the truth prevailed in the situation and justice got served to whoever deserved it.
