Should the Raiders make drastic adjustments after losing to the Panthers?

While Dave Canales did make a big change by swapping Bryce Young out for Andy Dalton, the Las Vegas Raiders were still favored to win their clash against the Carolina Panthers. As fate would have it, they lost with a tough 36-22 scoreline and things did not look pretty throughout the whole game. Coach Antonio Pierce posits that they have big shakeups coming and he outlines what they are. Let's find out what the head honcho is planning.
Raiders get decimated by the Panthers
No one was expecting Andy Dalton to pop off like that, especially against a defense led by Maxx Crosby. However, the Raiders just could not contain the veteran quarterback as he managed to toy with their defensive line and secondary.
To put how bad the loss was in perspective, the Raiders were not able to score in the second and third quarters of the match. They only got a touchdown and extra point in the first quarter but their scoring barrage which amounted to 19 points came too late in the last period of the game.
The fact that the Raiders offensive line allowed three sacks and Gardner Minshew threw a pick also did not help them.
What is Coach Antonio Pierce's plan now?
The first year head honcho knows exactly what to do such that they could go back to their winning ways. He hinted at the fact that the Raiders staff are going to make big business decisions. Along with those tough calls, a schematic overhaul can also be expected from the coaching staff after their defense faltered a lot.
"The scheme wasn’t good enough, the design of the plays wasn’t good enough today, what we thought was going to work didn’t work and on the grass we didn’t execute. Nor did we put forth the effort, to me, that we put up in games past," the head honcho proclaimed.
It is unclear what the Raiders coach meant by these words. However, their main concern would be to not allow any more teams to record more than 400 yards against them. If a struggling Panthers squad managed to beat them like this, they need to re-evaluate their rotations and schemes.
