Meet Jameis Winston's insanely athletic mom, Loretta

Jameis Winston has gone through a lot from his college journey all the way to the NFL. He endured the crab legs scandal at Florida State and had to swallow a few tough pills from the league's front offices throughout his career. However, he has not given up because there is just something in his genes that keeps telling him to move forward. The Cleveland Browns quarterback might be pulling all of his strength and inspiration from the mother he knew and loved.
A lot of NFL stars have parents with highly athletic backgrounds. But, Loretta Winston takes this to a whole other level. She was a dominant track athlete back in high school but just could pursue to become a professional down the line. Loretta did bag some big wins during her time. If Vonetta Flowers rings a bell in people's minds, the Browns quarterback's mother beat this Olympian back when they were still young. This was a testament to how insane she could have been if the opportunity came.
As fate would have it, she ended up marrying and settling down while forgetting that athletic past. This does not mean that she did not help Jameis while growing up. She may have still bore the same speed which could have been taught to her son in order to get better on the gridiron. Loretta truly loves her son and is very present in his life too.
From the moment he got drafted first overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers all the way to finding a stable job with the Browns, she always stood by his side. There are still many challenges that will come in Jameis' career but he always has Loretta to console him along with some advice coupled with it.
