Many love stories in the NFL tend to start in college but some arrive late into stars' lives. Vontae Davis has a nice story as to how he met the love of his life. From corny pickup lines to a pumpkin carving contest, the way Megan Harpe and the former cornerback developed their relationship looks like it was fresh off a Hallmark movie. Let's get to know what happened between them and what they're doing now.
Vontae Davis met Megan Harpe in the cornerback's hometown of Washington, D.C. This was way back in 2010 which is just a year after he got drafted by the Miami Dolphins into the NFL. The elite defensive menace kept staring at her throughout the night before busting out a fairly corny pickup line to introduce himself. He said that she looked like her legs were very strong which evidently caught her off guard.
The two then eventually got to go on a date with one another. They ended up clicking with each other's personalities before a Halloween party in 2013 came. He searched up all the ways to make an impressive carving out of a pumpkin to win a contest. Eventually, he landed with the words 'Marry Me' and proposed to his girlfriend.
They eventually moved to Miami together. However, the two of them would not get married up until Davis landed with the Colts. Their marriage happened in 2015. It is just unfortunate that they could not enjoy a lifetime together because he ended up dying at just the age of 35 in April of 2024.
