Who Is Maureen Blumhardt?
Maureen Blumhardt was born on January 15, 1960. She has built her empire as a successful model, a businesswoman, and a philanthropist. She is also an active advocate of women’s rights and is a lifelong honorary member of the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.
She is one of the five children of Richard and Ellen Blumhardt. Her siblings are Richard Blumhardt Jr., Michael Blumhardt, Ellen Palardy, and Geraldine Berne. Their mother passed away in 2005, while their father resides in Pennsylvania.
Maureen earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Columbia University. Initially, she wanted to become an actress. She pursued a modeling career instead, finding success as she was named one of America’s top models in the 1970s. Later on, she became an entrepreneur and philanthropist.
Marriage & Family With Charles Barkley
The two have met in the mid-to-late 1980s in Pennsylvania. Due to their racial differences, Charles Barkley was hesitant with Maureen. After colliding again at City Avenue, the two had lovely conversations that led to dating. In 1989, they decided to get married.
In the same year, they welcomed their only child, Christiana Barkley. Christiana graduated from Villanova University in 2011 and obtained her master’s in Journalism from Columbia Journalism School in 2017.
Christiana is married to Ilya Hoffman and they share two children: a son named Henry and a daughter named Charlie Eliza.
Maureen and Charles have been together for over three decades. As of 2024, Maureen is 64 years old, while Charles is 61 years old
