Why Alabama hit the jackpot with Jihaad Campbell

Why Alabama hit the jackpot with Jihaad Campbell

The Crimson Tide football program is looking scary right now with the addition of Jihaad Campbell. The University of Alabama, after all, just scooped up the five-star high school recruit and one of the elite linebackers from the class of 2022.

Jihaad Campbell looked like a man among boys in his first three years of high school at Erial (New Jersey) Timber Creek, dominating the competition since he first set foot on the field. It was clear that Jihaad Campbell has a bright future ahead of him, and he needed better competition to fulfill his potential.

He transferred to the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, where his stock really took off.

In seven recorded games for IMG, Jihaad Campbell caught 15 passes for 249 yards and two CDs, along with 45 tackles and seven sacks.

Jihaad Campbell even showed his versatility, splitting time at wide receiver and defensive end.

Jihaad Campbell is considered a “tweener" (or someone in-between positions) which isn’t exactly perceived as a positive by most football scouts. However, Jihaad Campbell fully embraces his uniqueness and approaches each game with a hard-nosed mentality.

In fact, Jihaad Campbell excelled in both roles but will reportedly be a full-time linebacker for the Crimson Tide. Jihaad Campbell is blessed with physical length and explosiveness and is also a gifted pass rusher. He will certainly fit along nicely along Bama’s formidable defensive front.

Jihaad Campbell is currently listed at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, and may need to bulk up more in order to deal with the physicality at the collegiate level. Good thing Bama has one of the best strength and conditioning programs in the country.

Do you also come from a rare breed like Jihaad Campbell? Then Fan Arch’s merchandise featuring Jihaad Campbell will suit you best. Make sure to check out our amazing collection of hoodies, shirts, and other cool stuff featuring Jihaad Campbell’s likeness.

Jihaad Campbell is a complete stud. But perhaps his best ability is his natural talent, which was evidenced by his elite testing numbers. He ran a 4.5 in the 40-yard dash and 4.2 in the short shuttle while registering a head-turning 33-inch vertical jump. Plus, Jihaad Campbell has a ridiculous first step that often puts opposing blockers at a disadvantage.

His slender frame shouldn’t be an issue, since he is willing to do the work and has the motor and drive to improve in that area. Plus, Jihaad Campbell possesses large hands — which is an indication that he can eventually walk somewhere around 245 lb. after a year or two in college.

Jihaad Campbell’s career in the big leagues is just starting, but don’t be surprised if we hear his name in the early rounds of the NFL Draft somewhere down the line.

Jihaad Campbell, along with 700+ professional athletes and influencers, all have personalized merchandise available on the Fan Arch’s website!
