His career skyrocketed from here, earning the title of being the first NFL QB to pass for over 300 yards in each of his two career starts. His tenure with the Philadelpia Eagles brought out a lot of talent and promise from him, but he also suffered adversities.
Why the Arizona Cardinals?
After winning the job in a quarterback competition during training camp following McNabb's trade to the Washington Redskins that April, Kolb began his tenure as starter for Philadelphia. After sustaining a concussion in Week 1, he was displaced by Michale Vick. Kolb was traded shortly after that to the Arizona Cardinals before the 2011 season began. He signed a new five-year contract with the Cardinals in a $63.5 million deal. Although Kolb showed a lot of improvements, he also had injury setbacks.
