Bashaud Breeland is currently without an NFL team — which is quite baffling, to be honest. The 30-year-old cornerback, after all, is a natural talent and could still help a lot of squads in the pro ranks.
Bashaud Breeland may have faced some personal demons in the past, but the man still has a lot to give. He just needs another opportunity.
The former Clemson University standout played three years of college ball and recorded 136 tackles, three sacks, and six interceptions. Bashaud Breeland was the 10th cornerback selected in the 2014 draft, going 102nd overall to the Washington Redskins (now Commanders). After four seasons in DC, Bashaud Breeland tested free agency in 2017.
He went on to sign short-term deals with the Packers, Chiefs, and Vikings in the ensuing years and was part of the Cardinals’ practice squad in 2022.
The highlight of Bashaud Breeland’s professional career, of course, was winning Super Bowl LIV with the Chiefs. The Fan Arch athlete registered a team-high seven tackles and even intercepted a pass by 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo during the 31–20 win.
