How Texans star CJ Stroud was raised by Kim Stroud

Behind every successful quarterback in the NFL is a loving mother who took care of the star as they were growing up. Houston Texans fans have Kim Stroud to thank for the way CJ Stroud grew up. There are a lot of factors which led to how the elite signal-caller became the way he is. Let's all uncover their story together.
Kim Stroud's motherly love to the Texans star
CJ Stroud is one of the four children of Kim and Coleridge Stroud. They enjoyed a very religious life as the Texans star's parents built the Life Application Christian Center. Despite being a pastor, Coleridge had a lot of trouble with the law while his children grew up. He was incarcerated for robbery, carjacking, sexual battery, and cases related to drugs too. This prompted Kim to step up as both the mother and father for her children.
Kim Stroud filed for divorce back in 2012 and raised each one of her kids as a single parent. CJ eventually saw how much sacrifice his mom was making and wanted to give back. He got an opportunity at Ohio State and then became the second pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Texans quarterback has since made sure to honor her mom in every way possible, "My mom, she had to play both roles for me for a while; mother and father. I’m super blessed to have a mother like I do.”
