On Season 4 of Netflix's "Last Chance U," which chronicled a football program at Independence Community College (ICC), Davis an end from East St. John High School in Louisiana who claimed he always had to punch his way out if life threw right back.
Playing only as a true freshman and finishing with just seven tackles, Davis showed such rapid improvement during his sophomore season that schools like UAB, South Alabama, and Southern Miss started calling about him. He ultimately committed to Arkansas State but never played because of COVID-19 in college football.
But he has not been slowed by this adversity, having participated in four games with A played earlier this spring and forced two fumbles. Butler, 6-2 and 222 pounds, recently signed with the Arizona Rattlers following a stint in Canada where he played professional foo, ball for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
