Why is Keanu Koht leaving Alabama & hitting the transfer portal?

The Alabama Crimson Tide is one of the programs where football players want to land. It gives them a lot of chances to stand out and impress NFL scouts throughout their college days. However, there are also a lot of reasons as to someone could leave Tuscaloosa. The most recent example is Keanu Koht. Why did he leave Coach Kalen DeBoer's program and where is he going next.
If you have not heard it yet, Keanu Koht is leaving the Alabama Crimson Tide and entering the college football transfer portal. He outlined his intent to leave in a recent statement: “I want to take a minute to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of my journey here at the University of Alabama. “After careful reflection and consideration, I’ve come to realize that I’ve outgrown the shoes I once wore here. With that in mind, I have made the decision to enter my name into the transfer portal, with two years of eligibility remaining. This was not an easy choice, but it’s one I believe is best for my future and personal growth.”
There is still no definite reason for why he left Alabama. However, Koht was suspended for two games before this decision was made. His last season with Coach Kalen DeBoer saw him notch only five tackles alongside half a sack. Obviously, there are a lot of programs that may want him to join them. On the other hand, other colleges and universities are also wary because of the undisclosed reason for his suspension.
Hopefully, Koht lands in a program that gives him an opportunity to shine and play in the College Football Playoff. A talent of his caliber should not be wasted because he is clearly on pace to reach the NFL.
