Running backs tend to have the toughest job in all of college football. They have to break through huge offensive linemen and juke out defensive backs who are bruisers. Conditioning is the key to all of this as they need to absorb a lot of contact while not getting beat up such that they could play for another day. Kaleb Johnson needs all of this so that the Iowa Hawkeyes are able to notch proper yards out of him. However, it might just have prevented him from meeting the love of his life.
Kaleb Johnson is someone who is very committed to the grind. The Iowa Hawkeyes running back was so close to being a Heisman Trophy finalist but just fell short of the cut. Despite this, he is still continuing his pursuit of greatness. After failing to secure a College Football Playoff spot, his sights shifted to getting drafted in the NFL. All of this is to say that he has a lot of priorities which makes being single a nice option.
There are no traces of someone who is special in his social media pages nor is there anyone who stands out when cheering for him during Iowa football games. So, it might be safe to conclude that he is not in a relationship or just very good at hiding those types of information about his personal life. Nonetheless, he still remains very goal-oriented throughout this time due to the roller coaster that is about to be the next few months.
For now, Johnson needs to get his draft stock up. He is on pace to be the first running back taken off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, his Music City Bowl performance could still change all of that. Hopefully, he delivers against Mizzou such that his legacy and farewell to the Iowa Hawkeyes faithful are sweet rather than bitter.
