Sigining day is one of the most exciting days in all of high school sports. I still remember mine and my teammate signing our signing day letters to go to different schools but it was still an amazing time as other athletes from my school signed with us and I had a friend at another local high school sign to go wrestle at the next level. Also, flips on commitments days before or the day of signing day happen. As it stands right now what players are the ones to watch based on research and film watched from 24/7 sports and ESPN recruiting sites these are the top 10 players coming into college football right now. In no particular order
Bryce Underwood ( Michigan Commit)
The number one player with a lot of talk around him now was committed to LSU and was offered $10.5 millon to go go to Michigan and play and he denied and a week later $22.5 millon was the offer came from the Wolverines and he flipped his commitment to Michigan. Underwood can spin the rock but is also not afraid to take off and run and drop a shoulder. Reminds me of a Cam Newton esque quarterback and is undeniably the best QB in the class of 2025 and maybe able to fix Michigan’s QB problem.
Julian “JuJu” Lewis (Colorado Commit)
Another guy who flipped late and flipped to play for Coach Prime and Colorado after being committed to Licoln Riley and USC. JuJu announced his commitment flip on the Pat McAfee Show and it was no surprise he flipped as he had visited Colorado multiple times as well as Auburn and Indiana but ultimately wanted to play for Coach Prime. Lewis on film is a scramble if need be type of quarterback but can really sling it standing at only 6 feet tall and 185 lbs. Lewis will definitely have some growing pains being undersized especially if he does start year one in Boulder. Bryce Young comparison.
Michael Carroll (Bama Commit)
Marrol is a big interior Offenseive Lineman and at Alabama you need that this is a huge get if he stays committed to Kalen Deboer and the Tide. At 6’6” 315 lbs , the Tide would get a great run blocker as he is a great pull blocker even as he has the size of a tackle and has clean footwork in the pass blocking game. Which with the QB future uncertain in Tuscaloosa having a solid OL get will help the Tide. O'Cyrus Torrence comparisons.
Devin Sanchez (Ohio State Commit)
Sanchez at 6 feet 2 inches has a long frame as a Db out of the Lone Star and can also flip his hips and run with anyone in the country the question for him is at 175 lbs can he get off blocks set by the bigger receivers in the country and make tackles. Especially in the ground and pound game of the B1G. He is an excellent tackler as well. Christian Gonzales is a comparison.
Elijah Griffin (UGA Commit)
Both explosive and quick able to handle both gap responsibilities Griffin has proven he is too much for the prep schools he has played against but at the national combine he has opened eyes especially having 69 TFL entering his senior season earlier this fall. UGA is always stacked with big, strong and fast defensive lineman but watch his tape it looks like he has a good feel for the game and a high IQ of the game.
Kaliq Lockett (Texas Commit)
Standing at 6’ 2” Lockett has a 6' 7” wingspan and very strong hands. Has advanced body control and excellent jump ball skills as well as excellent route running skills will surely help him be able to translate to the next level and having him be Texas commit and Sark’s offense and the future QB being Arch Manning expect Lockett to have a strong college career.
Zayden Walker (UGA Commit)
Walker, a linebacker, is a huge commit for Kirby Smart and the Dawgs because the defense has been depleted in that spot for the Dawgs since that repeat championship season for UGA linebacker has been a spot that's been missing. Walker displays excellent athleticism in the 3-4 defese that he plays. Has ability to play off the ball as well as with an odd front and is good downhill to stop the run which you need in order to compete in the SEC.
Linkon Cure (K-State Commit):
Cure is a 6 '6” TE who is big athletic and can line up at receiver which could cause some mismatches in the red zone. Very much like Sam LaPorta of the Detroit Lions and if K-State can use him as so in their offense teams in the BIG 12 are going to have a problem with guarding the strong TE.Adding some mass will be a component so he can do more blcoking in the run game for the Wildcats to help them run the football to seal the edge.
Tavien St. Clair (Ohio State Commit)
The 2nd ranked QB in the 25 Class was a big in state recruit for Ryan Day and the Buckeyes after Will Howard leaves the Buckeyes they much like the Wolverines will be looking for a quarterback to run their offense adn the got that in St. Clair. He is very accurate in throwing on the run and can also go down hill with running the football. Remind me of a pocket passer whos accurate on the run much like CJ Stroud was in his days in a Buckeyes uniform.
Harlem Berry (LSU Commit)
Finally a running back to round out the top 10 players to watch coming into college football 2025. Berry is an all purpose back who can catch the ball, run between the tackles and bounce outside. Adding mass will be an important factor for Berry as he is only at 175 lbs the defensive lineman are big guys in the SEC but he has explosive speed so it might not be as big as a factor as it seems but none the less expect Berry to come in and be a huge help for Brain Kelly and the Tigers.
All the players listed on this list are in the class of 2025 and are the top two or three at their position and are the top 10 players coming into college football in the year of 2025.
