Many successful athletes tend to attribute a lot of their strengths to genetics. For Tom Brady and the rest of his family, this holds true. Despite not being the best prospect in the NFL Draft while coming out of Michigan, he was still able to transcend a lot of barriers and became the greatest player to have ever stepped foot on the gridiron. However, he is often mistaken to be a twin? Is this true and who is Julie Brady in his life?
To start, Julie and Tom Brady are not twins. They are siblings but the New England Patriots quarterback was born about three years after her older sister. In fact, the insanely talented signal-caller has two other sisters aside from her. However, this does not mean that they are not similar in any way.
Julie was also great on the field just like Tom. However, she did not play football. The second sister in the Brady family fell in love with soccer. She ended up going to St. Mary's for college and walking on for their varsity team. Eventually, her insane acumen on the pitch kicked in which got her a scholarship. So, it's safe to say the NFL legend is not the only one who's great on grass.
How did they become these athletic greats while growing up? Well, it was because of their father. He outlined that there was just something about introducing competition to his kids that just felt right: “I started it. Everything we did, and I mean everything, like running home from church, throwing a rock the farthest … Everything was a competition. I guess it made things really fun, at least for the winner.”
Now, all of them have hung up any sort of athletic endeavor in exchange for living a peaceful life with their own families.
