The Denver Broncos have found their guy. In the 2024 NFL draft, the Broncos used their first round draft pick to take quarterback Bo Nix from the University of Oregon.

Denver had recently parted ways with Russell Wilson, who failed to perform well with the team despite his massive contract. So far, Nix has won five games this season for the team and the Broncos are currently in the midst of the playoff hunt.

Entering the NFL, Nix had a tremendous amount of college experience. He played with Auburn from 2019-2021 and then 2022-2023 with Oregon. He made 61 college starts and was 24 years old when he entered the NFL draft.

While Nix is only a rookie and therefore currently under a rookie contract, his net worth is estimated around $1.5 million in 2024.

Nix played his long collegiate career during the beginning phases of the NIL era in college football. Because of that, Nix is already a millionaire and was a millionaire before even taking a snap in the NFL.

Nix had a college NIL valuation of $1.2 million during his last year of college football at the University of Oregon. His valuation was the tenth highest in college football and was the 15th highest overall in college sports.

Nix spent five years as a starting quarterback for two major universities during his collegiate career and was a big star player during that time.

During an era of change in college football, Nix was able to benefit from the new rules with compensation regarding collegiate athletes.

During this time, Nix also secured major endorsement from big companies such as: 7-eleven, Topps, Bose, Bojangles, Fanatics, Milo’s Sweet Tea, etc.

Entering a QB heavy draft class, Nix was already financially secured and just worried about playing good football for his future team.

Nix was one of the quarterbacks named in the highly-touted 2024 QB draft class. This class included Caleb Wlliams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, Michael Pennix Jr and JJ McCarthy.

Nix was selected by the Broncos with the 12th overall pick and so far it looks like Denver has finally found their quarterback of the future in Nix. He was also the last first round quarterback taken after the previously mentioned players.

Nix’s first NFL contract is a rookie deal that is for four-years, with a fifth year option, for $18.6 million. Denver decided early on to see whether or not Nix was the right man for the job and named him the week one starter against the Seattle Seahawks.

Despite some hiccups out of the gate, Nix has proved to be the guy for the Denver Broncos. Denver is currently 5-5 and are still in the playoff hunt.

Their $1.5 million quarterback has already thrown 10 touchdown passes in 10 starts with only six interceptions. He’s also rushed for four touchdowns and has thrown for 1,968 passing yards during his rookie season.
