There are a lot of great weapons who joined the Chicago Bears system but did not quite get anything out of the move. Muhsin Mohammand officially dubbed the franchise as the team where most receivers go on to kill their careers. Since 2008, there has not been a substantial case against this and the fact that postseason success has been scarce also does not help. However, DJ Moore and Caleb Williams aim to change that narrative in the upcoming season.
There have been a lot of proclamations about Caleb Williams being the savior of the Bears franchise. But, he can only go as far as his weapons take him. This is where Ryan Poles gets the help of DJ Moore. After a blockbuster trade along with an insane 1,364-yard season, it was clear that Muhsin Mohammad’s narrative was dying. Even Moore saw the saying die right in front of his eyes, via ESPN.
"When I got here, [the narrative] was a thing, and then when the season was progressing the way it was, I was just like, 'yeah, we can throw that out the window now. As you can see, we've got a whole bunch of playmakers now around here. Everybody is here for the long haul on the offensive side. That's pretty good for me,” the Bears weapon said.
Along with Williams and Moore, the Bears are also fairly stacked offensively. They just got Rome Odunze in the NFL Draft. Keenan Allen and D’Andre Swift were also big additions through NFL Free Agency.
