Will Titans have Chido Awuzie for training camp?

Brian Callahan has a huge plan for the Tennessee Titans such that they get back into the playoff picture come winter. He is heavily loading up and investing in an insane secondary to win the games after Derrick Henry parted their squad. A key fixture amid all of that is the duo of Chido Awuzie and L’Jarius Sneed. However, one of these two elite defensive backfield members might not be present at Titans training camp.
Chido Awuzie is set to miss some weeks of training camp, per Terry Mccormick of AP News. No, he is not holding out due to contract negotiations. Instead, he will be recovering from a calf injury that he endured during the offseason. With a focus on getting healthy before the season commences, Brian Callahan along with the rest of the Titans organization may have just made the right move in terms of ensuring their players’ health and safety.
“Chido is going to miss some time with a calf injury. It’ll be a couple of weeks, probably. He’s out here, but he’s not practicing,” the Titans head honcho declared.
This is not the only blow to the Titans’ defensive unit before training camp. Callahan will also not have Harold Landry. Apparently, he has been suffering from an illness that will prevent him from attending the first two days of training camp.
On the brighter side of things, L’Jarius Sneed will be with the Titans for training camp. While the defensive menace has admitted that he has not attended one of these with the Kansas City Chiefs, he just knows that there is something different about Callahan’s system.
“In Kansas City, I didn’t do camp at all, but here I’m trying to work into camp and get into it. They have a plan for me. They have days where I did what I did today, and days I just practice. It’s a pretty good schedule they’ve got me on,” Sneed declared.
It’s going to be a very eventful next couple of months for the Titans. Will this be enough to get them back to the postseason?
