Ravens’ John Harbaugh drops lofty Lamar Jackson GOAT claim

The biggest role that head coaches have in the NFL is to create schematic differences. Oftentimes, they would also need to uplift the morale of certain players after falling short of their goal. John Harbaugh understands that Lamar Jackson has all the tools to win a Super Bowl but he took it a notch further by making a big claim that might even raise the eyebrows of Baltimore Ravens fans.
It is clear as day that the Ravens are banking their win condition on Lamar Jackson. John Harbaugh even thinks that their new rotations and schemes could propel their signal caller into legendary status if they end up hoisting the Vince Lombardi trophy by February of 2025, via Noah Trister of AP News.
“The vision that we have together is that Lamar Jackson is going to become and be known and be recognized as the greatest quarterback ever to play in the history of the National Football League. That’s the vision. It’s going to happen by Lamar, his work ethic, and his brilliant talent, by all of us pouring into that effort, together as a team, by teamwork, and by the grace of God and God’s goodwill. That’s how it’s going to happen. And I believe it like we’ve already seen it,” the Ravens' head honcho said.
There are a lot of names that Jackson needs to usurp before claiming the title of ‘greatest quarterback ever.’ Joe Montana of the San Francisco 49ers, Peyton Manning from the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts, and Tom Brady who led the New England Patriots dynasty all have more accolades than the Ravens signal caller.
Not to mention, the Ravens have not yet gotten close to helping him win his first Super Bowl. If they can win in 2025 and keep the momentum going by continuously beating the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, and Cincinnati Bengals among others, maybe his name would be entered in the GOAT conversation.
For now, he is just not quite there yet.
