Who is Julian Lane The Let Me Bang Bro Guy?
Julian Lane is an American professional mixed martial artist who came to fame after participating in the fighting-based reality TV show competition, The Ultimate Fighter 18. He became a cult hero in the house, thanks to his high-energy brawling and catchphrase, "Let me bang, bro!"
Lane started martial arts at 14 and entered boxing later in his career, as well as Muay Thai. His unique and eccentric fighting style and fiery personality allowed Lane to quickly become a fan favorite when he joined The Ultimate Fighter. He quickly became recognized for his "Let me bang, bro!" tagline, and most set off for every battle he searched before it wound up being a brand name.
Lane's "Let me bang, bro!" storyline of a fight over fellow Ultimate Fighter contestant Mike Ricci in the second round. Lane threw a left hook in the ensuing action and then unloaded with a wild flurry of shots, shouting "Let me bang, bro! Throughout. He was watching the language, but he soon caught on with MMA fans, and his crowd went wild.
Lane made it to the final of The Ultimate Fighter, where Ricci defeated him. Lane may have gone on to lose, but his line will continue to live in the MMA world and be said by fighters (and fans) forever.
He may not have won the tournament, but you cannot tell me that his "Let me bang, bro!" moment was one for the ages.
Lane has become one of the most high-profile fighters in BKFC, fighting Mike Perry and selecting Thiago Alves.
