Fighters tend to get loud about their opponents but Sean Strickland has been very open with his thoughts even if they don't concern anyone in the UFC. He has made a lot of outrageous claims that have spread throughout media and people clearly disagree with him. Some have wondered if this was just a persona or who he really is. Others have even gotten to the point of wanting to know who raised him such that he got this way.
Sean Strickland is a very polarizing UFC fighter to say the least. His fans have learned to separate liking how he is in the octagon from the private persona who often spews very racial statements at times. Despite the curiosity of fans, there is no public information of his mother and father at all. However, it did become apparent that he loved the former more over the latter because of how she helped him grow.
The Strickland household was filled with a lot of abuse while he grew up. But, his mother was always gentle with him and apparently treated the UFC star with a lot of care. At one point, he even bashed a guitar on his father's head such that the old man would stop from hitting her. These incidents prompted the two to leave his dad behind and start a new life.
There is so much to uncover about Strickland and his family life. However, the most that UFC fans will ever get to know them is through stories that come from the fighter. While it has been confirmed that his father has died back in 2017, the star's mother seems to be well under his care at this point in time.
