The time of the 2020 global pandemic was odd for most people. But, some used it as an opportunity to keep finding themselves and even stumbled upon the love of their life despite the tough circumstances. This was when Max Holloway could not particularly fight much in the octagon and invested all his time in trying to get to know his future wife. Who is she and how gnarly of a person did the UFC fighter marry?
Max Holloway and Alessa Quizon reportedly started dating the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a time where the UFC had to cancel or postpone most of its fight cards for the year in order to give way for the creation of health precautions. This meant that the fighter had a lot of time to see how their relationship would work.
Quizon, on the other hand, was also not as busy. See, she is a professional surfer and has been pursuing this endeavor since her teenage years. Clearly, her love for the craft only grew and Holloway had to understand that it was one way to get to know her. After all, the ideal day for her would almost always feature the sport: “Ideally, I’m in the water almost every day. Surfing uses your entire body and your mind. It’s definitely physical and mental. When I was on the world tour, that’s like the elite, best of the best. I was ranked seventeenth in the world. The oldest person I was surfing against was maybe 32 at the time, and the youngest was probably 17.”
The two found their common ground and decided to forever be in each other's lives even when the pandemic subsided. Eventually, they got married in 2022. Right now, there is not much news of them welcoming a child into the world but only their love and time would tell.
