Who Is Nina Drama & Why She's So Controversial, Explained

The world of MMA is full of hyperbolic beefs. It's a way for fights to get more marketing and attract more fan investment in the lead up to the bout. However, some controversies that happen outside of the octagon tend to get out and make rounds around the minds of the masses. One of them involved Nina Drama and The MMA Guru which sparked rumors of the former getting fired.
Nina Drama is a renowned UFC interviewer. She reports the feelings of different fighters and gives timely updates about their upcoming bouts. However, the nature of her job is not free from any vitriol. This is where the MMA Guru came in and outlined that she was nothing but just a clout-chaser who did not earn as much as him. She obviously lashed back with her own statements but fans did not think much of it.
But, worry started going around when UFC 308 rolled around and she was noticeably absent. A lot of speculations suggested that Dana White had kicked her out of the company and some thought that this was unfair. However, these were all debunked when people caught on about the Middle East's tough policies when it comes to women being involved in sports. So, no one was actually fired despite what surfaced online.
Now, it looks like the whole company is gearing up for UFC 309. There is a lot of optimism that Nina would be back in covering the events and lead-up to the bouts. Hopefully, the sexism in the sport also gets removed such that everyone gets an equal opportunity of shining through.
