The wide receiver spot is probably the most physically taxing job in the NFL. These elite players are often asked to run a lot of routes while also being physical with the opposing safety or cornerback. A dropped pass could often determine a game due to the momentum given to the defense.
Davante Adams knows the ins-and-outs of this position too well. But, it could get stressful at times for the New York Jets weapon. This is where Devanne Villareal comes in to help him.
Adams may now be a journeyman in the NFL after having played for the Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders, and New York Jets but one thing has remained constant in his life. It is none other than his wife. They met at Fresno State when he had just dreamt of being in the NFL. Since then, she has been nothing but an amazing support system to him.
They got married in 2018 after nearly six years of knowing each other. It was not a tough call to make for Villareal because Adams never let any of the fame nor vitriol get to his head. He was often just the same guy that she used to love a lot. Since then, they have welcomed three children into the world. Despite the taxing work of being a mother and house maker, Villareal never fails to show up for the Jets receiver.
Whether he was with the Bulldogs, Packers, Raiders, or Jets, she would be on the sidelines happily cheering for the elite wide receiver. A lot of this is a strong testament to how healthy their family life is.
