It takes a lot of love and care from their parents alongside his environment for them to love the state that they grew up in. This is where Aidan Hutchinson's parents, particularly her mom, did a great job in. The defensive end never left Michigan throughout his football career and has been the pride of the blue collar state. How did Melissa Sinkevics factor into all of this? Melissa Sinkevics loved Michigan so much when she was growing up. It was her home state and had no plans of leaving it in favor of moving to another place. A lot of this is rooted in the fact that she was the darling of the state too. She won Michigan Teen USA back in 1988 and has involved herself with the community more ever since.
So, when she met Chris Hutchinson, there was no doubt that their kids would also share the love for the blue collar state.
Well, Aidan was not their first child but he was the only boy. They had to raise Mia and Aria alongside the future Lions star too. So, the parents resorted to giving them the same path that they traversed back when they were young. They went to Divine Child which was one of the top schools in Dearborn, Michigan.
This is where Aidan's story diverts a little from his sisters. He headed to join Coach Jim Harbaugh in the Michigan football program back in college. This move to Ann Arbor got him an All-American selection and a Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year nod too. Both accolades helped him get drafted by the Lions with the second overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft.
As of the moment, Aidan is playing for the home team he grew up idolizing back when he was growing up. This type of love does give dividends because in just his second year he was given a Pro Bowl nod and even made a deep postseason run.
