Aaron Hernandez is still a big name in the world of football despite his passing. His run with the New England Patriots all the way to his death was very controversial. However, he did have someone by his side amid all of the vitriol and suffering that he had to endured in reparations for his murder of Odin Lloyd. She is none other than his ex-fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins.
The former Patriots tight end and Shayanna Jenkins met when they were in high school. Aaron Hernandez always loved her and it was very evident with the way she spoke about him during the trials. Eventually, that love bore fruit and they welcomed their first child together. Before their baby was born, they got engaged first too which was a momentous part of their lives.
Their lives took a dark turn after Hernandez was found guilty of murder in 2015. Despite all of the judgement that came the tight end's way, Jenkins still believed that he was an outstanding partner and parent. She even went on Dr. Phil to outline her feelings: "I want Aaron to be known as innocent because he was. He was full of life, so sweet, very lovable, would do anything for anyone. He’s the love of my life. I want him to be known for what he is instead of what people are speculating. They want to make him out to be this monster and he’s not."
Now, Jenkins is moving on with her life after the passing of Hernandez. She is an events organizer and even owns her own company. Moreover, the Patriots tight end still plays a big role in her life and she never fails to honor him annually during the date of his death.
