Travis Hunter, the two-way star for the Colorado football team, was hospitalized after a late hit during the game against Colorado State. Head coach Deion Sanders confirmed that Hunter is likely to be out for a few weeks due to the injury. The hit occurred in the game against Colorado State when Hunter took a massive shot to his midsection from Rams safety Henry Blackburn. Despite briefly returning to the game after the hit, Hunter did not play in the second half. He had two tackles and two catches before being ruled out. Colorado managed to stage a comeback and win the game in double overtime even in Hunter's absence. The school did not immediately announce the exact nature of Hunter's ailment but confirmed that he was taken to the hospital after the illegal hit.
