Who has won the Heisman Trophy from Wisconsin?

As one of the most prestigious awards in college football, the Heisman Trophy has been awarded to some of the greatest athletes in the sport's history. While Wisconsin has a rich football tradition, the Badgers have only produced two Heisman winners in their history.
In 1954 Wisconsin’s 1st Heisman winner was Fullback Alan Amenche. He recieved 27% of the vote and was considered at superstar during his time at the school. He would go on to play multiple seasons in the NFL winning 4 pro bowls, rookie of the year and 2 Super Bowls.
In 1999, running back Ron Dayne took home the Heisman Trophy after a dominant season in which he rushed for over 2,000 yards and scored 20 touchdowns. Dayne was a physical force on the field, utilizing his size and power to bulldoze through defenses and carry the Badgers to victory. His performance in the 1999 Rose Bowl, where he rushed for a record-breaking 246 yards and four touchdowns, cemented his place in college football history.
Since Dayne's triumph, no other Wisconsin player has claimed the Heisman Trophy. While the Badgers have had some talented players in recent years, including running back Jonathan Taylor and linebacker T.J. Watt, they have not been able to replicate Dayne's success.
There are a few factors that may contribute to Wisconsin's lack of Heisman winners. For one, the Badgers have traditionally been a run-heavy team, which can make it difficult for individual players to stand out in the eyes of Heisman voters. Additionally, Wisconsin has not always been a perennial contender for national championships, which can also impact a player's chances of winning the award.
