How Much is Bryce Young's NIL Deal Worth?

University of Alabama commit Bryce Young, North America's top college football recruit, signed a National Letter of Intent (NIL) on Wednesday. He signed the largest NIL deal in college football history and set a new bar for other top-end prospects.
OK, then, how rich is Young's NIL deal? Young's contract is sensitive to the exact numbers, but sources said he will be paid a base salary of around $3. That is vastly higher than a standard NIL deal, which generally runs about $1 million.
According to a spokesman for Young's NIL, the deal could total $5 million with performance-based bonuses. The bonuses are tied to Young's academic performance and productivity on the field (TD passes, yards gained), for example.
Not only have they signed perhaps the most lucrative deal of all, but Young's NIL agreement includes many non-economic perks, including fast-tracked admission to premier academic programs and priority consideration for internships — in addition to guaranteed access to athletic (training) and educational counseling.
The NIL deal Young has signed could also be groundbreaking for all college football going forward. It is a blueprint that other elite prospects should take note of. It is a model that allows wide and profitable deals between universities and the best athletes.
It also underscores the powerful new role of college athletes in a shifting landscape from which they will continue to benefit financially and otherwise. It also doubles as a lesson on how to get an agent and perhaps earn your college degree.
Young's NIL deal is worth an undisclosed amount, but it was a hefty price. This supports the idea that Young's NIL deal is one-of-a-kind for college athletes when given proper opportunities.
