jasonFlorida State University is one of the most successful college football programs the NCAA has ever produced, it is not surprising that they have won their fair share of national championships. The university has a total of three national championships in football, Punching their card into the elites.
The Championships
Their first win was on 1993 after winning 12 games and lost 1 to Nebraska in the Orange bowl. The Seminoles were back to the national title the following year where they defeated Florida in the same Sugar bowl in 1994. The third and most recent title was in 1999 after ever defeating Virginia Tech in the sugar bowl with an impressive 12 wins and 0 losses. FSU has also been able to win the championships again in 2013 during Jameis Winston tenure. However, winning national championships is not the only measure of a successful football program.
The Legacy
FSU is the Seminoles’ history of success is with conference championships, bowl victories, players award following the championship. Beyond on the field success, however, the Seminoles have one of the best Fan Bases in College Football and will continue to win for years to come.
