Roman Reigns Leukemia Situation and Curing Process
The WWE Superstar sent shockwaves around the world in October 2018 when he announced that he had Leukemia for 11 years and, this time, had to battle it again. He revealed this information during an episode of "Raw," suggesting he to have been scared and ashamed to lose the secret. He wrote about when he was told of a high white blood cell count, borderline symptomatic for chronic myeloid Leukemia (CML), the rare form of treatable but not curable medical condition. The 4-time champion took a break from WWE to receive treatment before returning on the February 25th episode of Raw, saying that he was in remission and ready to resume his position as an active talent.

The other is that Reigns wants to clear up leukemia misconceptions and advocate for education around the long-standing affliction. Saying it was important to know the stages of Leukemia and a new modality for treating cancer can help save lives. With Roman Reigns being the face of WWE, he undoubtedly became somewhat of a super-patient if you will as possibly one of the most publicized CML patients on earth. Inspiration for him comes from children and he channels that by shining a light on their story, so they can have the opportunity to share winning stories with mankind. Reigns is out to plant the victory story flags on top of WWE's gigantic mountain and show them off for all to see.
Treatment and Side Effects
Reigns said he takes an oral chemotherapy pill nine days a month, known as tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), to target and kill the leukemia cells in his body so that they remain at nearly undetectable levels. Others will experience side effects from the treatment process "such as muscle cramps, pain, and fatigue, but it is about descending into an individualized journey with your scleroderma," he noted. It has also left Reigns with arthritis and some dietary restrictions, including limits on protein consumption as well as alcohol and a pH-reduced capability to be out in the sun.

Roman Reigns opened the show by announcing he is in remission and of course Universe was pleased with this news, welcoming him back to thunderous applause chanting "Welcome Back" after the airing of "Raw" in Atlanta. He thanked the fans and said he will be back "soon" for in-ring competition, which is expected to happen at WrestleMania 35 on April.
