WWE’s PPV event Bad Blood takes place on October 5th at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. This marks the first Bad Blood event for the WWE in twenty years. The event will feature the conclusion of several feuds such as Liv Morgan and Rhea Rhipley as well as CM Punk and Drew McIntyre ending their heated rivalry with a Hell in a Cell match.
Historically, the Bad Blood event’s main event is the Hell in a Cell match. However, it was recently reported that CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre will open the Bad Blood event. The main event is now expected to be a tag team match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns vs the Bloodline.
Obviously, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are the biggest stars in WWE. They just headlined the biggest WrestleMania in history. However, fans are confused as they are expecting CM Punk and Drew McIntyre to headline this week's event. Especially with Cody Rhodes’s Undisputed WWE championship belt not being on the line Saturday. However, there could be a surprise on Saturday.
“The big guy is coming back this week.” Pat McAfee told Cody Rhodes after Rhodes’s appearance on the Pat McAfee show.
Fans are speculating that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is making a return to WWE on Saturday as the Final Boss. When we last saw Dwayne Johnson in WWE, it was the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 40. He made it clear he will return to face Cody Rhodes. The Rock vs Cody Rhodes has become one of the most iconic rivalries in WWE.
"There is something that happens at Bad Blood, I guess a video package or vignette, that will play, I need to keep it vague but there are big title implications for Crown Jewel." Cody Rhodes stated on the Pat McAfee Show this week.
Speculation has grown that Dwayne Johnson will appear at the end of Bad Blood on Saturday. If that is the case, it makes sense for WWE to put the Rhodes, Reigns tag team match against the Bloodline as the Main Event. Rhodes and Reigns are the biggest stars in WWE history, and the Rock is the biggest star in the world. There are too many big names involved for this match to not be a main event.
Could the Rock's return reveal that he has pulled the string behind the new bloodline? Setting up the Rock vs Roman match that was initially supposed to headline Wrestle Mania 40? Or will the Rock continue his story with Cody Rhodes? For now, it is speculation, but one thing is for sure WWE's Bad Blood is must must-watch TV.
