Reaching the WNBA is the ultimate dream for female ballers. The road wasn’t easy, but Aisha Sheppard embraced the grind to reach her goals.
After making it to the big leagues, Aisha Sheppard is eager to prove she belongs. The 23-year-old sharpshooter began her journey at St. John’s Catholic high school in Maryland.
Her talents on the court were evident from Day 1 and she was recruited by Virginia Tech. Aisha Sheppard played five seasons with the Lady Hokies, where she dropped three-pointers with automatic precision.
The Fan Arch athlete is considered one of the best shooters in ACC History and was recognized as an All-ACC 1st team member in 2021 and made the All-ACC 2nd Team twice.
Aisha Sheppard also finished her career as the program's All-Time Leading Scorer with 1,883 points and the leading ACC 3-Point record holder for makes with 402.
In 159 career games in college, Aisha Sheppard notched 11.8 points and was a career 38.7 percent 3-point shooter. The Las Vegas Aces couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to acquire an elite floor spacer like Aisha Sheppard and selected her with the 23rd pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft.
