Isaiah Thomas is back to being a free agent following his short stint with the Phoenix Suns earlier this year, so he is looking to find a new NBA home this summer.
The two-time NBA All-Star signed two 10-day contracts with the Phoenix Suns in March before signing for the rest of the season in April, but he played sporadically since he was behind the likes of Devin Booker and Bradley Beal in the pecking order.
It wasn't long ago when Thomas was a league MVP candidate after leading the Boston Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2017.
However, injuries derailed his career, and he has bounced around the NBA, playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks, and Charlotte Hornets, before the Phoenix Suns.
Isaiah Thomas could be back where it all started
Isaiah Thomas was taken by the Sacramento Kings via the No. 60 pick of the 2011 NBA Draft. Throughout his tenure in Sactown, the 5'9" guard averaged 15.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists on 44.7 percent shooting in 216 appearances.
According to Sean Cunningham of KTXL, Thomas is called up for a free agent workout by the Sacramento Kings, and Tony Bradley, Lonnie Walker IV, and Juan Toscano-Anderson will join him.
