After launching their popular "New Heights" podcast, competing in back-to-back Super Bowls, Travis dating superstar Taylor Swift and Jason being named the "Sexiest Man Alive," it's clear the Kelce's have transcended the NFL and become pop culture icons.
But in 2023, the Kelce's made headlines for a seemingly mysterious reason. A CBS short posted to social media showed a man claiming to be "Shawn Kelce," the third Kelce brother.
'Shawn' claimed to be the older brother of the NFL stars, who hosted his own podcast, the 'Kelce-cast' from his mom's basement. He lamented feeling forgotten, while insisting he was the brains behind his brothers hilarious antics. According to 'Shawn,' he helped Jason put together his Super Bowl parade costume, and introduced Travis Kelce to the Beastie Boys.
Donna Kelce even made a surprise appearance in the video, sharing that Shawn has his own "special talents," but that his high school uniform was "so clean" it was returned to the school, implying he never saw the field as a high school athlete.
While some fans were thrown off by the video, it was soon proven to be false. The Kelce's do not have a third brother. Shawn was an actor in a comedic sketch.
The Kelce's remain one of the NFL's most relevant families. Travis remains with the Chiefs, where he and quarterback Patrick Mahomes are hoping to win a third-straight Super Bowl.
Jason, meanwhile, is enjoying retirement, while hosting his podcast, appearing in Buffalo Wild Wings commercials, and joining the ESPN Monday Night Football team as an analyst.
