The Green Bay 2025 NFL Draft was one of the craziest in years, featuring monster trades, hyped quarterback plunges, and a couple of franchises that made franchise-altering choices. Sure, some franchises aced, but there was one franchise that stood head and shoulders above all others in the balance of need, value, and potential: the New York Giants.
Why the Giants Won the 2025 NFL Draft
1. Plugging Premium Positions with Premium Talent
The Giants came into the draft with huge gaps at edge rusher, quarterback, and running back. They did not wait, taking Penn State's Abdul Carter with the No. 3 overall selection. Carter, perhaps most comparable to Micah Parsons and Von Miller, was the class's premier pure edge defender with 13.5 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss last season. USA Today also included New York in its top three, calling their class “a blueprint for how to rebuild a roster in one weekend.”
