Which NFL team is the least popular?

The NFL is only growing by the minute. A lot of squads have gained popularity over the years and have amassed many fans. However, there are some franchises who are more obscure to the casual watcher than others. We'll breakdown which team has the least in terms of following and dissect the reason why.
Indianapolis Colts
This squad from the Midwest brings the least amount of intrigue for fans outside their state. In fact, searches for Colts jerseys and even just the name of the franchise only clock in at about 39,000 outside of the United States. It had a rating of 0.5 when it came to Google searches too which is not good for the franchise.
A lot of circles around the idea that Indiana is a basketball state. Fans flock the hard court more than they do the field. A big testament to this is how the state does not even have an MLB team because their citizens are more invested in one sport over the other.
A resurgence in fans
It was not always a flat line of unpopularity for the Colts. They have gained some acclaim and have filled Lucas Oil Stadium to the brim at one point. It was all thanks to one man named Peyton Manning. His gun slinging ways out of the pocket proved to be crucial in getting the franchise some recognition.
Manning's greatness brought a Super Bowl to the state back in 2007. They manhandled the Chicago Bears and it was a sight to behold for most fans of the team. Clearly, they just need someone who makes the right plays and gets them some wins in the postseason to be a great franchise again. Andrew Luck was close but they still have not quite found that person yet. Maybe, Anthony Richardson could be the one who replicates Manning's success.
