Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann suffered a compound fracture of his right leg when he was sacked by Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor. 2. Willis McGahee's Knee Injury

During the 2003 Fiesta Bowl, University of Miami running back Willis McGahee suffered a devastating knee injury that left many wondering if he would ever play football again.
