The Injury Bug Bites Lamar Jackson's Baltimore Ravens

One would think that the Baltimore Ravens would have a chip on their shoulder after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in last year's playoffs. While that can still be true, their performance has not quite reflected the hunger they have to win the Super Bowl. In fact, they are currently 0-2 with losses to Patrick Mahomes' squad and the Las Vegas Raiders. What went wrong? Well, a lot of Lamar Jackson's teammates started going down even before they got their groove on.
A big reason why the Ravens are not thriving, let alone have win this season is because of injuries. We'll dive in to why these key absences have impacted their chances of having a good regular season campaign.
Who are injured for the Ravens?
A big help for John Harbaugh's chances to make a run is the Ravens defense. But, they have some big absences after their games against the Chiefs and Raiders. Kyle Van Noy, Nate Wiggins, Kyle Hamilton, Trayvon Mullen, Deion Jennings, Malik Hamm, and Arthur Maulet have all been diagnosed with some sort of physical pain in their run.
On offense, Lamar Jackson does not have much depth on offense too. Deonte Harry, Ronnie Stanley, Rasheen Ali, Owen Wright, and Keaton Mitchell are either questionable or out entering their Week 3 clash against the win-hungry Dallas Cowboys.
John Harbaugh's feelings on these holdouts
While a lot of head honchos are likely going to hit the panic button after sinking down in the standings, Harbaugh is not too concerned with the way the injury bug bit the Ravens. He even outlined that their faithful should not be too concerned with how they have been managing their rotation.
“None of those guys have anything that’s going to keep them out, unless something crops up that I don’t know about. But there’s nothing now that’s going to keep anybody out of practice on Friday that you don’t know about. It’s a competitive disadvantage to get too deep into what your guys’ injuries are. That puts them not in the best position competitively and we like to keep our opponents guessing a little bit," he declared.
The Ravens clearly want to play mind games with their opponents but they have not come out on top at all. Will they be able to reclaim their lost glory despite these injuries?
