Barry Sanders was larger than the sports he played. While making a name for himself in the NFL with the Detroit Lions, the legendary running back was also creating a legacy in front of his children. He continued to become a family man after hanging up the cleats. As a result, it looks like he has four kids that got infected by his unrelenting passion.
NFL legend's children
Lauren Campbell and Barry Sanders were married for 12 years before getting divorced. During their relationship, they welcomes four children into the world: Barry J., Nigel, Nicholas, an Noah.
All of them followed the legacy of Barry and played some level of competitive sports. Barry J. Sanders ended up joining both the Stanford and Oklahoma State football programs as a running back. He could not cover as much yards in his collegiate career which made NFL front offices very hesitant in acquiring him in the draft or free agency.
Nigel, on the other hand, liked to play on grass too but not on the football field. He and Barry spent most of their time bonding through golf. He did not join the rest of his siblings and pursue football but he is very handy with a golf club. In fact, he was even with his father at the Rocket Mortgage Classic schooling other players.
Nicholas, the third born child of Barry, became more adept to playing on the hardwood more than on the field. He is currently a plays basketball for the Michigan State Spartans as they traverse through a new Big Ten Conference. The chances of going professional are there but he will need to ball his mind out for NBA scouts to take notice.
Lastly, Noah is probably the one most like his father and eldest brother. He is still in high school but 247 Sports already regards him as one of the most highly-touted running backs in all of the nation. With a lot of college football programs lining up to get him, he still seems undecided: "There are a few other schools have reached out to me, the most notable one being Pittsburgh, who I was thrilled to hear from. I don’t have any visits planned out yet, but I definitely am expecting to go to multiple visits this year."
